What's The Point?

Avila Beach is a special place, and planning the future of the former Union Oil Company Tank Farm now owned by Chevron, now dubbed “Fossil Point,” is an opportunity to enhance the community for residents and tourists alike. Prior to creating any land-use plans for Fossil Point, a citizen’s committee has been convened to discuss possibilities for the future of this property. An emphasis is being placed on collaboration to explore land use options and to solicit input from all interested parties.
